Global Community Communications Alliance's Organic Gardens

The Global Community Communications Alliance offers residents of Tumacacori, Arizona and the surrounding area access to fresh, local produce. The organic gardens are a showplace of progressive, compassionate and sustainable farming, ranching and gardening practices.

Global Community Communications Alliance's Avalon Organic Gardens' Offerings

Global Community Communications Alliance’s Avalon Organic Gardens offers produce such as arugula, carrots, eggplants, okra, onions, tomatoes, radishes, both sweet and hot peppers, winter squash and pumpkins and sweet potatoes. Herbs include basil, cilantro and parsley.  Global Community Communications Alliances’ Avalon Gardens established the first CSA program in Arizona in its truest form as a living agricultural/all volunteer community sharing its resources and the harvest of the land purchased and worked together, while also offering harvests to Share-Members.

Why Isn't The Global Community Communications Alliance's Produce Certified Organic?

The produce grown in Global Community Communications Alliance's gardens isn't certified organic - it's beyond organic. An organic certification by the USDA is expensive, time consuming and comes with mountains of paperwork. However, every herb and vegetable grown in Global Community Communications Alliance's Avalon gardens is grown without chemicals or synthesized fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides of fungicides. The seeds that turn into seedlings and eventually full-grown plants are only GMO-free seeds.
